Pilates is a method of exercises that involves mind-body connection. It focuses on proper breathing, core activation, body alignment and controlled movement. A combination of gentle yet dynamic movements are executed with concentration, precision and intention.
Mindful movement is empowering. It allows you to know and understand your body; this body awareness translates into better posture, stability and balance. Pilates also improves the mobility of the joints, muscle length and tone, releases back pain and increases energy and vitality. Besides these physical benefits, the mind-body connection in this exercise method also grants you the benefit of mental clarity and stress release.
